Hello, and welcome to my website!
My name is Ingo Nosske, and I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Munich (Germany). I studied physics in Munich and Heidelberg, first focusing on astrophysics and then on atomic physics. In between I went to Hangzhou where I majored in China Studies, specializing on the history of scientific exchange between China and Europe in the early modern period (thesis).
In 2014-2018 I did my PhD studies in a lab dealing with ultracold atoms in highly excited electronic states in Shanghai (thesis). After a three-month research stay in New Delhi (India), I moved to Braunschweig (Germany), where I am now working on an atomic clock with the aim to accurately measure the slowing of time induced by Earth's mass, a consequence of the theory of relativity.
I am interested in history in all its facets since a long time. This website is the outcome, and I hope that some people will find some parts of it interesting and meaningful. If you would like to contact me, then do not hesitate to write me an email: ingo.nosske@universalhistory.info
